Chad is on a mission
Chad is on a mission – to illuminate truth and deliver justice for every single one of his clients. There’s nothing Chad loves more than the classic David versus Goliath battle – taking on powerful corporate defendants and insurance companies on behalf of his clients.
A trial-first attorney, Chad thrives on uncovering the truth – whether it’s through relentless investigation, strategic depositions or finding the smoking gun buried in tens of thousands of documents – and using that truth to tell a brutally honest, powerful story at trial to deliver real, true, life-changing justice for his clients.
Winning Cases Starts Long Before Trial
But Chad knows being a trial lawyer isn’t about flash and glory. There are no shortcuts to winning. The made for TV moments are rare. Winning a case for a client is a team effort. It takes grit, hard work and the unwavering pursuit of truth – not just from Chad, but from the entire Lucas Law Firm team – in the months and years before trial ever begins.
Winning isn’t about a single moment of brilliance. It’s about doing the little things right from the first handshake with a client to the day they finally get the justice they deserve. For Chad, that means:
- Digging deep into the facts before the case is even filed.
- Pressuring the defense to turn over the evidence they don’t want to see the light of day.
- Crafting the deposition questions the defendant was hoping we wouldn’t ask.
- Revising briefs until they’re perfect.
- Preparing obsessively for trial from the start.
Trusted by Clients in High-Stakes Cases Nationwide
It’s the unglamorous grunt work that so few are willing to do that makes the difference. That’s what sets Chad and Lucas Law Firm apart from the rest. Chad has built a reputation for winning high-stakes catastrophic injury and automotive product liability cases, holding manufacturers and negligent corporations accountable for their actions. The outstanding results speak for themselves.
Kansas City Trial Attorney with National Reach
Since 2005, Chad has dedicated his career exclusively to representing plaintiffs in contingent fee cases. He is licensed to practice in Missouri, Kansas and the District of Columbia, but his work has allowed him to represent clients in cases all over the country – including California, New York, Texas, Hawaii, Virginia, Arkansas, Illinois, Wisconsin and beyond.
Beyond His Practice
When he’s not lawyering, you will find Chad cheering for the Chiefs, Royals and Mizzou Tigers and spending time with his family and friends.Chad is married to his law school sweetheart and they have three wonderful children. Over the years, his intensity for winning cases may have spilled over to coaching his kids. He will tell you some of his best memories are: implementing a flawless diamond press on the basketball court for his oldest son’s basketball team, leading to back to back league titles; coaching his middle son’s soccer team to an “undefeated for life” record in all leagues (having a good eye for talent is key); and demonstrating perfect execution of dance moves (such as the sprinkler and running man) to his dance obsessed daughter which he believes has strongly contributed to her success on the stage.
Chad loves being a lawyer. Not many lawyers can say that. He loves helping the little guy or gal and navigating the unique factual and relational challenges of each case. But most of all, he likes beating adversaries who deserve to be beaten – delivering justice for his clients.
